Holland Lop's
About the breed
The Holland lop breed originally came from the Netherlands where the breed was first recognized with the Netherland's Governing Rabbit Council in 1984. In 1979 the breed was accepted by the ARBA (American Rabbit Breeder Association).
Holland Lop's are the smallest lop breed around today and have become a very popular choice for breeders, 4-H, as well as pets. They are an excellent breed to have around due to their docile temperament and small size. Often times the Holland's are also refereed to as having dog or cat like personality.
This breed comes in a variety of colors that are divided into the following groups: Agouti, Broken, Pointed White, Self, Shaded, Tan Patter, Ticked, Wide Band.
A fully grown Holland should not be over 4 lbs - in some cases a Holland may be larger and weigh more, mostly common in brood doe's.
